The Sting RS by Swing Paragliders 🇩🇪 is a good glider for beginner and beginner/interm. flyers! With an spect ratio just over 5, it offers a good blend between ease of use and a scent of energy. A very clean profile, free of wobble and inflation faze flex, part thanks to its latest generation NITINOL rods on the leading edge. Light trike flyers will find this smooth inflaiton a gem. Trailing edge also has mini ribs which provides a very clean airflow exit at the back. Cross wind take off with this wing is a no brainer. With nice soft and forgiving brake travel its solid trailing edge responds well during the landing faze. The glider is easy to put in tight landing spots with less potential for last moment surrises. The glide is very managebale and predictable making it easy to hit "targets" when engine off. Want a long glide or a short glide??? Swoop and spot land...You got it! Very easy to control its speed. Well built profile, strong lines, overal solid and robust, made to withstand a bit rougher use during your first seasons. A good glider for the first 130-150hrs of active flying in different air. Great second glider for those coming from a lower AR paramotor gliders and wanting a bit wider range of efficiency factor, yet within a manageable envelop. Good glider for those low time pilots coming from PG to PPG and vice versa. RAST is there to work when needed and we managed to see it in action during a free flying sessions on the hill with this glider. Observed was minimal altitude loss, less stress on the glider and minimal turning momentum. The collapse was a non-event for the pilot. The Sting RS has a good climb rate, providing less stress for the engine and less fuel consumption. With this glider, the engine will live longer :). The visibly moderate (for A/B) arc provides just the right amount of efficiency with less roll instability. An ideal blend is achieved with this profile. Very good lift capacity and low sink rate maiking it a great glider if you just want to climb high at the end of the day and turn the engine off for a nice loooong glide back to Earth. The Sting RS is a latest generaiton (as of years 2022-2025) dual pursposed and dual certified glider. In addition, a versatile tool for some free flying when near slopes and mountains. Risers are easy to sort out, not bulky nor cluttered and thus provifing less drag. Steering is easy and forgiving. Trimmers are efficient, responsive, easy to work with, and short, just to the right amount to forgve mistakes during the first few years of active flying....Yet the speed change is clear. Sting RS is not a race "car". You will not win races with this glider...The Sting RS is made for purely relaxed flight, safe and efficeint as it should be... Word of the day is "Simple". Just get up there and enjoy the scene 🦅
Overall a good and reliable glider to consider at the start of your paramotoring (or even paragliding) career.
