These are some of Carol Herzer best work spanning between mid 2018 to mid 2019. Within that period, Carol's re-colouring work morphed into something akin to original paintings. Some of them have become permanent "masters" for Carol's new range of hand painted colours going into 2020. Others have either been reproduced or modified, and printed in various sizes for sale.

In September 2018, Carol Herzer's tarot transformed the way I use the images in tarot, giving me a rich experience not since The Tarot of Delphi and the Le Tarot de Vieville. While the first taught me tarot as stories, and the second as a visual language mediating the power of the mind, Carol's tarot showed me that it can also be "chi" oriented. A concept I am familiar with while growing up in the culture which originated the term.
The Midsummer Rainbow Fire and the October Ranfire serve perfectly as Yin and Yang Illuminated Tarot for me.
Two gaps I had hoped to fill are decks to represent the end and beginning of things. I had two candidates for those. One represented by her black set painted in shadows of gold and silver, and the rebirth and regeneration of things represented by the colour of spring in roses and green, pinks and blues. But, it was not meant to be, and that in itself is how it must be.
Various gifts ended up filling some of these gaps, with the mini fluorescent Illuminated Tarot, and the one I started this video with, filling the gap for birth and rebirth with their spring colours. While death / rebirth which I have been socially conditioned to associate with the glum of winter, are actually embedded in both summer and autumn and the two decks I already have. Reminding me that in all deaths are rebirth, and in all births are deaths. Nothing is separate.
In the end, I have ended my journey of seeking any spiritual paths in the alternative ways by the time this video was uploaded. This includes the various possible spiritual approaches to tarot I have explored for almost 10 years.
I remain a firm believer in the art of psychology and the science of human nature, and this has been my source of strength before tarot, and will be after.

My favourite cards are the majors: The Fool, Death, Temperance, The Sun, The Star, and The Moon. For me, they represent: Beginning, Ending, Alchemy, Love, Hope, Faith. I was lucky enough to be able to pick these as "covers" for my pouches.

NOTE ON THE ILLUMINATED TAROT FIRST COPY SPECIAL PRINTING 2019 EDITION
The LAST shown here is a hand embellished pouch cover card of Temperance from a printed set of the Original Illuminated Tarot on a beautiful hand sewn silk pouch which was put together in an exhilarating, albeit momentary, creative synergy. (Please check out a video dedicated to it).
I paid a significantly much higher price for the printed Original Illuminated tarot to be able to obtain a copy of the actual original art, rather than a copy of copy of copy of copy, which by 2019 have resulted in the ever increasing deterioration of image quality with every copy.
Those who purchased a copy many years ago would have obtained a better image quality for a fraction of what I paid for mine.
As of 2020, many of you would have bought a copy with the same image quality for almost half the price. This is due to the fact that digital masters were finally created (from what I've heard), making the reproduction process far less labour intensive and in keeping with 21st century mode of production and commerce.
I can only hope that at the very least, my loud lament about the lack of digital masters, and how this would have significantly reduced the price of labour, as I opened my wallet back then, might have contributed to this happy evolution.
My possible small role in her creative process, and some of hers in mine, ended in 2019. As I finally managed to move on from tarot which role in my life had actually ceased at least couple of years before.
As I have said in all of my discussions about Carol's work, acquiring any of them from her directly is never going to be an act of purchase, but an act of financial support to her life of creation and service.
