Buna-N/ NBR(Nitrile Butadiene Rubber)/ Nitrile rubber/ GR-A
Preparation:- Buna-N is a copolymer of Butadiene and acrylonitrile.
Acrylonitrile is manufactured from acetylene with HCN under pressure at 80 degree Celsius in the presence of cuprous chloride as catalyst.
After that we prepared Nitrile rubber, Butadiene and acrylonitrile monomer are taken in the ratio of 3:1 are mixed with water so as to get emulsion which is stabilized by adding soap(emulsifying agent). By this technique of emulsion Polymerisation, Nitrile rubber will form.
Uses Of Buna-N:- * For making conveyor belts.
For making gaskets.
For high altitude aircraft components.
As oil resistant foam.
For automobile parts and
For making hoses etc.
