It is October 7th. It is Coldwave Wednesday.
This is the 3rd october listen along, and every October we always have a day for coldwave. Coldwave is a style of new wave music that usually contains a dark, gloomy atmosphere and relies heavily on synthesizers. The coldwave music that I've picked for this year are all from the 80's, all from European countries (Germany and Slovenia), and all were predecessors for industrial music.
Today's album is Liaisons Dangereuses. Liaisons Dangereuses was a supergroup formed by members of the 'Neue Deutsche Welle' bands Einstürzende Neubauten and Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft. I know I'm gonna butcher those names. The group released one self titled album - the album of the day. This album, released in 1981, dabbles in many different genres, including but not limited to funk, punk, EDM, Industrial, and disco. Also, the songs are sung in a multitude of languages: Spanish, French, German, and English.
