Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I'm going to share with you my experience of having dinner at the buffet of the Occidental Punta Cana resort in the Dominican Republic. This is a POV (point of view) post, so you'll get to see what I saw and ate during my stay.
The Occidental Punta Cana is a beautiful resort located on the beachfront of Punta Cana, one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean. The resort has several restaurants and bars, but the buffet is the main attraction for me. It offers a variety of dishes from different cuisines, such as Dominican, Italian, Mexican, Asian, and more. There's also a salad bar, a dessert station, and a grill section where you can order your meat or fish cooked to your liking.
I went to the buffet for dinner every night during my stay, and I was never disappointed. The food was always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. I loved trying new dishes and flavors every time. Here are some of the highlights of what I ate:
On the first night, I had a plate of rice and beans, fried plantains, stewed chicken, and salad. This is a typical Dominican meal, and it was delicious. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the plantains were sweet and crispy. I also had a glass of passion fruit juice, which was refreshing and tangy.
On the second night, I decided to go for something more international. I had a slice of pizza, some pasta with tomato sauce, a piece of lasagna, and some garlic bread. The pizza was thin and cheesy, the pasta was al dente and saucy, the lasagna was rich and creamy, and the garlic bread was crunchy and buttery. I also had a glass of red wine, which complemented the food well.
On the third night, I wanted to try some Asian food. I had some sushi, some spring rolls, some noodles with vegetables, and some chicken teriyaki. The sushi was fresh and tasty, the spring rolls were crispy and savory, the noodles were soft and spicy, and the chicken teriyaki was sweet and sticky. I also had a glass of green tea, which was soothing and aromatic.
On the fourth night, I went for some Mexican food. I had some nachos with cheese and salsa, some tacos with beef and cheese, some burritos with chicken and beans, and some guacamole with tortilla chips. The nachos were crunchy and cheesy, the tacos were juicy and spicy, the burritos were filling and satisfying, and the guacamole was creamy and zesty. I also had a glass of margarita, which was cold and refreshing.
On the fifth night, I decided to treat myself to some grilled food. I ordered a steak with fries, a salmon with mashed potatoes, a shrimp skewer with rice, and a corn on the cob. The steak was juicy and tender, the salmon was flaky and moist, the shrimp was succulent and flavorful, and the corn was sweet and crunchy. I also had a glass of beer, which was fizzy and refreshing.
As you can see, I ate like a king at the buffet of the Occidental Punta Cana resort. I enjoyed every bite of every dish I tried. The buffet was one of the best parts of my vacation in the Dominican Republic. If you ever visit Punta Cana, I highly recommend staying at this resort and trying their buffet. You won't regret it!
That's all for today's post. Thank you for reading and following my blog. Stay tuned for more updates on my travels and adventures. Until next time!
