I went to Wells recently with some friends and got to explore this amazing little town and its abundance of history and charm and thought you might like to see Europe's oldest Medieval street called Vicars' Close. It's over 500 years old looks like something out of a film set, but people actually live and work here still today.
This pretty street is in Wells, Somerset a market town in the countryside of England not far from Glastonbury where the famous music festival is held. It is thought to be the oldest preserved and lived in Medieval street in Europe.
Whilst I primarily like to visit villages and countryside retreats in land and by the sea, this was a day trip to explore with friends. We had lunch at the Bishops Palace (the old castle like building at the end) and it was amazing and such good fun.
I hope you enjoy this short video and have learnt something new. I don't think this street is as well known as it should be, even with its rich history.
