This is an easy way by using an enriched dough to create a different version of Cinnamon buns / Chelsea buns. My family love having these slices with caramel sauce, apple sauce or as French toast. It is always fun having the kids alongside me creating magic with cinnamon and brown sugar. The Festive season is almost here and what better way of celebrating with spices that create harmony and memories.
On my website there is a Speculaas kruiden recipe and the spice mix of this Dutch cookie is excellent to use in this recipe. 1 table spoon full will make you want more!
Recipe for Glaze: 1 cup of powdered sugar (icing sugar), 15 ml lemon juice, 1-2 tbsp water...use immediately.
