Maverick Kinkizi West MP John Patrick Amama Mbabazi was Uganda’s Prime Minister until Thursday last week when President Yoweri Museveni relieved him of his duties.
The question many have been asking is: What next for Mbabazi, who for the first time since 1986 when President Musevenil, shot his way to power, holds no formal position in government. Could joining the formal opposition be one of the options available to Mbabazi and what is the likelihood that he would seriously consider that option?
