So, I started this channel to work outside of class to overcome beginner habits and build proficiency and technique. This song, Bad Habits by Ed Sheeran, showed up when I was looking for a warmup routine. And it’s been with me ever since. This is my 4th time dancing to it and my 3rd attempt at learning the choreography. I am literally fighting my brain as I practice the steps. How is life not a computer simulation?
Anyway, this is what I do in the video :

I run through the choreography once from the the beginning until it starts repeating (0:10)
2. I walk through all the steps and counts without the music (8:05)
3. I dance the entire song (20:39)
This is an improvement over my last attempt in video №22. I am clear about the steps and where they fall in the music. I’m also making fewer mistakes. However, this is far from my best. My lines can be cleaner, my accents can be sharper. More, presence, more expression, more fun. As much as I would love to move on, there’s more to be learned from this piece. I will give it one more chance.
