Fun little solo bank fishing session with the fly rod. I typically only use a 6wt when it comes to fresh water because it makes everything way more fun. You don't want a heavy rod because its just a little too much for these fish. Although I've been targeting large snakehead with a 10wt, but that's due to the nature of where I'm fishing and the super heavy cover they live in. I'm not chancing loosing a trophy fish on fly if it decides to bury itself in some thick grass. But ultimately the 6wt is the perfect combo to hit the ponds and catch these incredible fish.
