In the video, I'm once again trying to compare how I feel playing in the current meta with my current main build of the same class. The gameplay demos were recorded one after another during a single session. Each run included at least one high-ranked player with a maximum damage build. Overall, the team completed missions fairly quickly and dealt significant damage to opponents. This is just a quick, spontaneous comparison; I've actually been doing these kinds of runs for quite some time now, whenever new gear comes out or at random times.
For me, the main problem with the Lensington build is its too-small ammo capacity, which can often lead to situations in combat where enemies are left with critically low health, but the player has to reload. This becomes less noticeable with Expertise, but at low levels it's often frustrating. Using the chestplate with the Oblitrate talent paired with Elma, in my subjective opinion, has too weak a firepower potential. While damage accrues noticeably faster and the average damage output in combat is acceptable, I clearly feel like I'm hitting a ceiling and it's starting to feel insufficient for killing heavily armored targets. Since this type of build should prioritize eliminating the most armored and dangerous targets, the Overdogs gloves essentially leave an empty exotic slot for shooting Brutes, Robo-Dogs, and Mini-Tanks. As a rule, a significant damage increase is noticeable only on the weakest enemies, who are already killed quite quickly, and this difference amounts to a few milliseconds. The rest of the time, all damage increase occurs due to equipment stacks, as well as the active Killer talent, which also needs to be activated. But these are my subjective feelings, for beginners, as well as those who do not bother during the battle, this set of equipment will be very convenient, since for the most part it is very easy to use, literally "One-button"
After nerfing all components of the previous Elma-based Striker build and the Oblitrate chest, I switched to a set-based chest build using 200 stacks across all activities. This build suits me because it's more player skill and to maximize firepower it forces me to play more aggressively and look for opportunities to stack quickly, which makes gameplay more fun. Coyote's Mask provides increased critical damage, which affects all enemies and increases critical chance at optimal ranges. At close range, the lack of critical chance can be mitigated by focusing on headshot damage, this mask also provides a buff to the entire team. As an additional item, I use a Polyside brand holster, which, combined with the specialization, provides a total of 20% armor per kill, which is quite noticeable when quickly killing enemies. This build can't exactly be called correct, but for me personally it remains the most interesting and effective, while beginners are better off focusing on playing with mathematically more profitable and easier-to-use options.
Based on numerous runs, the final results when playing solo and in a group are absolutely identical, since in this case, personal skills play a greater role than the effectiveness of the build, which makes both options equally viable.
