In this era of global disorder, nations rarely agree on how to manage cross-border crises, much less internal strife. Some argue that existing systems of governance, including liberal democracy, are predicated on outmoded geopolitical structures and are ill-equipped to meet modern demands. Ideas abound for what new forms of governance could look like: should they build on existing, time-tested theories? Or should we throw out the systems completely and start fresh, perhaps with AI leading the charge? This panel will explore specific ideas for rethinking governance, and their possible pitfalls.
