Her Excellency Dr. Mariam Matar, Founder and Chairperson of UAE Genetic Disease Association enthralled the students and faculty at Gulf Medical University with an inspirational lecture as part of the Heroes of Healthcare International Lecture Series held at GMU Campus in Ajman on the 13th of March 2013.
It was held as part of the International Women's Day celebration at the university.
H.E Dr. Mariam Matar was nominated as the first Speaker of this year for the GMU Heroes of Healthcare International Lecture Series.
In line with GMU's Vision 2020 to stimulate and ignite the young minds, pursuing their careers in healthcare and medicine, the University has launched a series of lectures titled "Heroes of Healthcare" -- International Lecture Series by globally recognized achievers in healthcare and medicine.
