January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
Human trafficking doesn’t always look like what you see in the movies. Many traffickers rely on psychological manipulation, intimidation, and financial control to exploit victims.
📍Here in Ventura County, we are seeing sex trafficking in hotels, motels, illicit massage businesses, and residential locations.
Labor trafficking can occur in farms, restaurants, construction sites, hospitality, and in-home caregiving.
