Bellflower Enforcement and Safety Team (BEAST), a focused group of public safety, maintenance and community services personnel dedicated to supporting community safety and beautification while connecting individuals experiencing homelessness with essential services.
The BEAST team is composed of one public safety officer, two public works maintenance workers and two sheriff’s deputies who work collaboratively to continue the City’s outreach efforts while improving our ability to uphold community standards and expectations for public spaces.
The goal of the BEAST team is to provide consistent enforcement and clean-up of encampment areas in public spaces and connect the individuals in these areas to available services like the Bellflower New Hope shelter – Bellflower’s 50 bed temporary supportive shelter.
