So many people loved this homescreen that we couldn't miss the opportunity of not making a video tutorial for it. Altavizta brings you a Screen of the Day called new tiles, and the name fits perfectly. This 1-page homescreen brings you a mix of colorful squares, each with either and image or info widget.

Part 2: Photoshop
1. Open newtiles.psd in Photoshop or similar photo editing software.
2. Right-click on an image, then select the first (if it's a plain color then second) title of that menu, this now selects that specific layer.
3. For the white ring: select the layer, select the magic wand tool, then select only the white ring.
4. This should select only the ring, right click on it - copy as new layer.
5. Now select the author's profile image - right on the layer text (on the right) - convert to smart object - right click again on it - replace contents - replace with your own image.
6. Hold down on a corner and then hold SHIFT to resize this image so that it just touches the edges of the circle.
7. Select elliptical marquee tool - draw a circle over it (hold shift) - Right click on the circle - copy as new layer - Delete the old image.
8. For the bottom - the easiest way to change images is to convert them to smart objects then change them like we did above.
9. Resize as desired - then overlap this image by moving the layer (on the right panel) up or down as required. Right clicking on it this layer on the right and say release clipping mask might help you if you get stuck.
10. For color squares - easiest method is to select a color - select a piece of it using the rectangle marquee tool - right click on it - copy as new layer.
11. Now resize above any other square as required.
12. Once it looks good - File - Save as - File Type - .png.
13. Now copy this new wallpaper (png) as well as the 2 folders that were inside the rar file.
14. If you know any simpler way please let me know and I'll add it in :)
