The UK-EU summit in London in May was much lauded as the start of a new era of positive and cooperative relations between the two sides. This will now be put to the test as negotiations on the key sectors outlined in the summit communique begin.

But what are the main policy areas to look out for? How will the negotiations work? Which areas are most likely to cause tensions between the UK and the EU? And how will external factors influence negotiations?
