Hot Cross Buns 3 Ways: Classic, Chocolate & Pizza

Описание: Just when you thought hot cross buns couldn’t get any weirder… here are three versions from one dough: classic fruit, triple chocolate, and pizza!

Ingredients:
Base Dough (for all 3 bun types – makes approx. 12 buns total)
300ml milk, plus 2 tbsp more
50g butter
500g strong bread flour
1 tsp salt
75g caster sugar
1 tbsp sunflower oil
7g sachet fast-action or easy-blend yeast
1 egg, beaten
Classic Hot Cross Bun Mix-ins (for 1/3 of the dough)
25g sultanas
20g mixed peel
Zest of 1/3 orange
1/3 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 tsp mixed spice
Triple Chocolate Bun Mix-ins (for 1/3 of the dough)
20g cocoa powder
15g white chocolate chips
15g milk chocolate chips
15g dark chocolate chips
Pizza Bun Mix-ins (for 1/3 of the dough)
1 handful finely chopped sundried tomatoes (in oil)
1 tbsp tomato purée
30g grated cheddar cheese
1 tbsp grated parmesan
1 tsp mixed herbs
For the Cross (all buns)
75g plain flour
5 tbsp water (add slowly to make a paste)
Optional Glaze (for classic buns only)
3 tbsp warmed jam (any type)
