Fixing a Sagging Ceiling | DIY Ceiling Joist Repair & Attic Storage Prep
✅ Fixing a sagging, over-spanned ceiling joist in the kitchen
The kitchen ceiling is now flat, level, and structurally sound—no more sagging joists or cracked drywall seams. 💪 But we’re not stopping there...
We also added a folding attic stair system, giving us safe, convenient access to the attic. Why? Because we’re turning this once scary, unused space into a clean, well lit, and usable area for storing totes, coolers, patio cushions, and more.
Before we can install attic insulation and lay down plywood flooring, we need to make sure that ceiling system (aka attic floor) is built to last. In this video, we reinforce the overloaded joist and prep everything for future DIY attic storage upgrades.
