In this episode, I sit down with Salahudeen Abdallah — a man raised Muslim out of Durham, North Carolina, whose story runs deep through family, faith, and the streets.
Salahudeen opens up about growing up with his brothers — a family known to terrorize NC during the height of the 90s and early 2000s. One brother was carjacking, another was robbing restaurants and locking people in refrigerators, sentenced to 59 years behind bars.
But Salahudeen’s path would take its own legendary turn. He and his brother, who made news for the carjacking, eventually caught a federal drug case out of Raleigh, tried in Wilmington, NC, connected to one of the biggest drug enterprises to ever hit the Carolinas — the “Face Mob” case.
The case even tied in rapper Loon, while the crew’s leader, “Face Diddy,” received life in federal prison after taking it to trial.
Now, for the first time, Salahudeen Abdallah, second in command, shares his side — the discipline, the structure, the consequences, and the lessons. A true soldier, but also a leader in his own right.
