The final tutorial in the three series review of fundamental fingerings and understanding how the register key works on the clarinet. A full three octave chromatic scale from the lowest note on the Bb clarinet (low E) to E above high C is demonstrated and discussed in detail.
A number of aspects in relation to alternate fingerings, embouchure strength, air speed and tonguing are discussed. Experienced advice as to the best approach to gaining confidence in the altissimo register is provided.
