This tutorial goes over the function of the register key on the clarinet and provides basic fingering exercises to demonstrate the impact engaging the register key has on the low range of the clarinet. Exercises in F major and C major are provided. All fingerings used are explained and shown in close up video. Converting a simple melody from the key of F, to the key of C without changing finger patterns is explained and demonstrated.
