For reasons that you will find out at the end of the video, this was not a completely happy ending, nevertheless, I did not wanted to waste all the time and effort spent recording, and the information I have also put in the first part of the video, as I believe it can be really helpful to someone going through the same problem...
So, this car was in limp mode, would rev ok when stationary, but would not go above 40 Mph... the issue was traced down to a clogged DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter)...
