Описание: Masuleh is a village in the Sardar-e Jangal District, in Fuman County, Gilan Province, Iran. Masuleh is approximately 60 km southwest of Rasht and 32 km west of Fuman. The village is 1,050 meters above sea level in the Alborz (or Elburz) mountain range, near the southern coast of the Caspian Sea. The village itself has a difference in elevation of 100 meters.

ماسوله شهری تاریخی و گردشگری در استان گیلان و از توابع بخش سردار جنگل شهرستان فومن است. ماسوله در منطقه جنوب غربی استان گیلان و در فاصله ۳۶ کیلومتری شهر فومن و ۶۰ کیلومتری شهر رشت واقع شده‌است.
این شهر هم‌اکنون در برابر مسائلی مانند ریزش سنگ، سیل، رانش زمین، زمین‌لرزه، تصرف به منظور توسعه عمرانی و انسانی و تخریب و… حفاظت می‌شود؛ و در صف انتظار جهت ثبت به عنوان میراث جهانی برای حفاظت بیشتر قرار دارد
