This video both gives an overview on the issue of digital preservation of websites as well as showing the evolution of the home pages for The Coca-Cola Company since we launched our first web site in 1995.
Web preservation is a serious issue confronting the archival profession. The social expressions of companies, brands and the media has been disappearing the past decade. The archives and technology professions have been working to solve this issue, and while there are no silver bullets, progress has been made.
This video also highlights the major changes of both design, content and technology over the 17 years we have had a web presence.
