Welcome to my spiritual & backpacking journey in Kashi – Varanasi! 🇮🇳
This is the first vlog of my Banaras trip, and I’m starting it with something different and adventurous.
In this vlog, I travel from Kolkata to Varanasi by road via bus, instead of choosing the usual train or flight. The total road distance is approximately 680–700 km, and I wanted to experience how practical and comfortable long-distance bus travel in India really is.

✨ Kolkata to Varanasi by Bus – Real Road AdventureI chose this bus journey purely for experiment and real adventure. While most travelers prefer trains or flights, I wanted to try something different.I traveled with Loknath Bus Service, one of the well-known operators on this route.

🕖 Journey Details:• Departure: 7:00 PM• Arrival: 8:30 AM (Next Morning)• Total Travel Time: ~13 hours 30 minutes• Ticket Price: ₹1417 (including GST & all taxes)
🚍 Bus Experience:The journey was surprisingly comfortable. The bus had sleeper, clean interiors, a bio-toilet, and a smooth ride overall.During the journey, we had a proper highway dinner stop at a decent hotel, which is rare but appreciated in Indian bus travel.They also provided a snack box and a water bottle as a gesture, making the experience even better.

✨ Stay Experience – Mad Squad Varanasi HostelAfter reaching Varanasi in the morning, I took an auto and checked into Mad Squad Varanasi.
🛏️ Hostel Details:• Price: ₹430 per night• Budget-friendly & backpacker-style• Good for solo travelers
I give an honest rating of 7/10 for this hostel. It’s decent for the price, not luxury, but workable if you’re traveling on a budget and want a social vibe.

This vlog is just the beginning of my Kashi journey.
