The Last Train to Armadale Before the Shutdown

Описание: With the Armadale/Thornlie Line Shutdown starting on the 20/11/2023, the last ever Armadale Line service ran at 1:02AM from Perth to Armadale (even though on Sunday last service is normally 12:02 but because of the concert they changed it).

However, there is quite a story with this service, with a lot of commotion surrounding it, as there were some delays... Only an hour before the service, we heard news and saw on the Transperth website railcar allocation that it was actually going to be a 3-car B-SERIES operating the last service, which is like one of the only times since the Airport Line opened that this happened. I think this is because an enthusiast driver was planning to drive the service so he chose the B-series, and so he ran it NIS down to Armadale to do one service to Perth and then back to Armadale. However, something happened and the train broke down somehow in Armadale and had to be towed back to the depot by an A-series. This meant that the 12:16AM service from Armadale never ran, and the enthusiast driver didn't get to drive the last service. Instead, they made the second last scheduled service from Perth at 12:46AM just wait until 1:02AM to depart at the same time that the last train was meant to, which was just a boring A-series and a boring driver... The screen displays got very confused with all this and kept displaying random services which didn't even run making us unsure if we were actually on the last train or not, but I can assure you now it was. Also, at the dot matrix displays along the last service, they all said "3-car" on them, which confirms that it was meant to be a B-series. I am so annoyed that the B-series broke JUST AT THAT TIME (probably that stupid problem with the brakes I filmed before (   • Faulty Train & Express Joondalup and Mandu...  )), so that whole plan got ruined and it just got back to what we thought it will be at the start.

Anyway, we still managed to take the full journey on the last train at the normal scheduled time, and there was actually quite a lot of enthusiasts on it (albeit some very annoying ones which decreased the video quality). These include ‪@Pigeon_journey‬ , ‪@rileythedude‬ , @0918_KR, @TOM'S TRAIN VLOGS and several others. This train marked the last time a scheduled passenger service stopped at all the stations along the Armadale Line being demolished from Carlisle to Beckenham as well as Armadale. Carlisle was actually meant to be served by the Perth-bound train two minutes later, but somehow we managed to get there a few seconds later so we were actually on the last train for there too. There were two transit officers on the train the whole way and not many weird people so it was actually pretty safe, then at the end they were prompt to lock the station up, and we took our final photos and left.

I have not really edited anything in this video so it is just the raw footage of the full last trip, so apologies if I say anything silly which I would normally have edited out, or if some of the other enthusiasts are annoying in the background (some were just following me around...), or if there is some inappropriate language used at parts.
