Second pick on the board and I land on a solid 8 4 10 ore brick wheat spot, then lean hard into a 6 9 2 wood wood brick on the way back to build around the wood port. The opposition is no joke, a 42% winrate player and a rank 30 global on a juicy 659 first pick. The game gets hairy and for a while it looks like it might not go our way. We stay patient, keep our cards flowing, and lean into the development card game to maintain agency. What follows is some of the cleanest wood port usage I've played, and a finish that I'm genuinely proud of.
