(4K Video) Kicksleds are very popular in Scandinavia, but you don't see them very often in North America. Piper and I gave it a try on a cold March morning at the Gunstock Mountain Resort in NH. When setup like this, it's basically a one-dog dogsled. We've been running Canicross together for a couple of years so Piper picked it up very quickly. The Nordic trail was beautifully groomed and the snow was cold - we got up quite a lot more speed than I expected. We had an absolute blast though and can't wait to go again.
Please note that Gunstock is very dog-friendly and welcomes Kicksledders and Skijorers. Although the sled brake makes a scraping noise on the downhills, the trail was very firm and it did no damage to the grooming. Also, sorry for the grunting, I was just getting over a cold.
