We took a relaxing 5 km trail run on a sunny Saturday morning in late October. Our route took us around Kendrick Pond and along the Blue Heron trail which are part of the Cutler Park Reservation in Massachusetts. Fall folliage was near peak and we were treated to some beautiful scenery.

The Cutler Park Reservation and is popular with hikers, runners, cyclists, and birdwatchers. Some remnants of the now defunct Newton Water Works, older Back Bay landfill excavation work, and early farming activity is visible along the route.
