No-Knead Ciabatta Bread Recipe:
Ingredients:
500 g lukewarm water (about 2 cups + 2 tbsp)
1 tablespoon sugar
3 teaspoons active dry yeast
60 g olive oil (¼ cup)
600 g (5 cups) all-purpose flour
1½ teaspoons salt
Instructions:
1️⃣ In a large bowl, mix the lukewarm water, sugar, and yeast. Add the olive oil, flour, and salt. Stir until a soft, sticky dough forms. Cover the bowl and let the dough rest in a warm place for 20 minutes.
2️⃣ First fold:
Wet your hands to prevent sticking. Gently fold the edges of the dough toward the center, working around the entire edge. Cover and let it rest in a warm place for 20 minutes.
3️⃣ Second fold:
Repeat the same folding process with wet hands. Cover and let the dough rest for a final 20 minutes
4️⃣ Third fold:
Repeat the same folding process with wet hands. Cover and let the dough rest for a final 20 minutes
5️⃣ Generously flour a clean work surface. Carefully turn the bowl upside down and let the dough release naturally onto the floured surface (this may take a minute or two). Gently lift off the bowl.
Dust the top of the dough and your knife or scraper with flour. Carefully cut the dough into 4–6 pieces.
6️⃣ Transfer the pieces to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rest for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the ciabatta is golden and crisp, depending on your preferred crust. Let the bread cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your homemade ciabatta!
