Geelong x Mornington Peninsula Day Trip - With ease and tranquillity {Last video in 2024}

Описание: It costs $11.00 (from 1 January 2025 onwards) a day to travel to anywhere within a day within Victoria as Victoria’s regional myki maximum fare has been reduced to the same as a zone 1+2 metropolitan myki daily fare from 31 March 2023 onwards. Therefore, it also only costs AUD 11.00 to travel to Geelong (In this case, anywhere within Metropolitan Melbourne - Southern Cross - Geelong and from Sorrento back to Metropolitan Melbourne. Your ticket would be cheaper if you held a concession entitlement! You only need a myki card to travel so you don’t need to purchase the ticket online at the V/Line website and collect the ticket from a V/Line agent.

For the Ferry trip, HOWEVER, it’s a separate ticket, an adult ticket costs $20 one way and is cheaper if you buy it online, if you hold other concession entitlements your ticket is also cheaper.

This trip is quite a relaxing one as you have about 2.5 hours to walk around in Point Lonsdale. You also have greater flexibility once reaching Mornington Peninsula, as you may travel at your own pace and buses come very frequently. Attractions such as the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse, and Rip View Lookout in my opinion were quite fascinating.

The ferry ride was the highlight of the trip, though it costed me $17 one way (bought online) but the view was incredibly spectacular on the roof view deck and it was a worthwhile experience! You could overlook the Mornington Peninsula or even gaze at Melbourne City. It would be A LOT better if you go on a day with mild temperatures but with partly sunny/ sunny weather otherwise it could get quite warm during the day, especially with a lot of walking, so bring some water as well! But trust me, it is very spectacular if it is sunny!

This trip is quite different from other regional trips, which involves the ferry ride. While it costs more my opinion it worth the experience. Furthermore, after purchasing your ticket, you can always change your mind and your ticket will be valid until you board your next trip!
