It costs $10.60 a day to travel to anywhere within a day within Victoria as Victoria’s regional myki maximum fare had been reduced to the same as a zone 1+2 metropolitan myki daily fare last year. Therefore, it also only costs $10.60 AUD to travel to Great Ocean Road including returning! Your ticket would be cheaper if you held a concession entitlement! You can purchase the ticket online at the V/Line website and collect the ticket at a V/Line agent. (e.g. Main stations such as Southern Cross)

This trip is amazing apart from the fact that you will have limited breaks throughout the trip. With only a 12-minute break at Geelong, an 11-minute break at Apollo Bay, 30 30-minute breaks at Twelve Apostles, and ~10-minute breaks at Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge & Bay of Islands respectively. And also you will have about 45 mins at Warrnambool. However, the above rest times depend on real-time traffic conditions and may vary. For example, I didn't have an opportunity to stop at the Bay of Islands due to the tight schedule! Regardless, it's still a nice trip all in all!
