Practice breathing exercises designed to support recovery from infections that cause breathing problems, including pneumonia, bronchitis, and COVID-19. You’ll learn how to engage your diaphragm, chest wall, and abdominal muscles, use pursed-lip breathing, and splint your cough (holding a pillow tight against your chest/abdomen).
Aim to do these exercises three times a day (morning, noon, evening).
If you’re currently infectious, please do these exercises alone to prevent spread.
