Описание: In 17th-century Dutch art, painters developed a new techinique: Doorkijkje. It's all about looking through doorways and entrances. This was a way for the artist to open up the dimensions of the depicted space, to link together separate realms (inside, outside, domestic, public, intimate, communal) in a sequence of interrelated domains. Such portals acted as more than just an internal frame for the picture — they served as a link between areas and impled an ongoing movement of space and activity between them. The results are fascinating.
