Описание: Twin pregnancies are definitely different from a singleton pregnancy. Along with double the happiness, they do tend to bring an extra dose of anxiety to the parents and sometimes even to the doctor. On ultrasound also twin pregnancies have their own share of protocol right from defining the type of twin pregnancies that they are to looking at a certain extra things that a certain type of twin pregnancies require, to a lot more frequent number of ultrasounds in pregnancy just because you have twins compared to a singleton. Twins also tend to run into a little more trouble than a singleton pregnancy, in which case we might need to do a little bit more closer monitoring of the babies than in a singleton baby. So overall twin pregnancies would mean slightly more frequent visits to not just the obstetrician but also to the person doing the ultrasound because these babies need to be seen a little bit more frequently than in a singleton pregnancy. Twins also tend to have this tendency of coming out earlier than usual or preterm delivery. So also that is one more thing that can be looked out for when we do an ultrasound examination.
