When I was undergoing my preventative double mastectomy and reconstruction because I carry the BRCA 1 genetic mutation, I did not realize that I had options and that there are so many things no one tells you before surgery that I wish I knew! From scar placement to how it REALLY impacts you to lose all the feeling in your chest after surgery - in this video I am sharing seven things I wish someone had told me before my surgery!

Ultimately, I want you to know that it’s your body, it’s your choice. You have options and I hope this video makes you feel more empowered when making these decisions and helps you know what questions to ask your surgeons!
