Hi everyone!
My most recent historical project is an 1840s dress, heavily inspired by a fashion plate at the Victoria and Albert museum. My first step in construction was so assemble the required undergarments: a corset, a corded petticoat and a tucked petticoat. I am attempting to film the whole process of this dress to make a little 1840s series.
I unfortunately did not film the process of making the corset, but I will have a blog post about it up soon. I've linked the video for the corded petticoat in the cards (is that what it's called?). The next video will be about making the bodice and sleeves!
