Ingredient:
3 lbs Potatoes (cubed)
2 lbs Ground Beef
1 lb Mushrooms (sliced)
300ml Milk
1 Onion (sliced)
1 block Cream Cheese (8oz)
2 cups Mozzarella (shredded)
3/4 packet Salted Butter
1 tsp Turmeric
3 tsp Salt
3 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Italian Seasoning,
Instructions
Step 1: The Potatoes
Place your cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes until soft.
While potatoes boil, heat 300ml milk in a small pan. Stir in 3/4 packet of salted butter, 1 tsp black pepper, and 1 tsp Italian seasoning until the butter is melted.
Drain the potatoes and mash them. Pour in the warm milk mixture and add the entire block of cream cheese. Mash again until it's velvety and smooth.
Step 2: The Beef Filling
In a large skillet, fry the sliced onion until softened. Add 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp turmeric, and 1 tsp paprika. Add the 2 lbs ground beef and fry until fully cooked and aromatic.
Step 3: The Mushrooms
In a separate pan, fry the sliced mushrooms with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp black pepper. Cook until they are golden brown and the moisture has evaporated.
Step 4: Assembly & Baking
Layer 1: Spread the creamy mashed potatoes evenly into the bottom of a large baking dish.
Layer 2: Spread the spiced ground beef directly over the potatoes.
Layer 3: Add the sautéed mushrooms as the third layer.
Layer 4: Cover the top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Place in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
