US Highway 10 reopens in Arden Hills!

Описание: The reconstructed US 10 repaved the existing lanes, added a new 3/8 diamond interchange at CR 96, and also removed the weave on I-694 between Snelling and US 10.

The trip starts at County Road H in Mounds View and starts south on I-35W, exiting to US 10 east with a control city of St Paul. There are still two at grade intersections. The first for Scherer Brothers Lumber Company, and then the second is for the Big Ten Supper Club.

After the two at grade intersections, US 10 becomes a full freeway thanks to a new 3/8 diamond interchange at CR 96. At this interchange, you can travel from US 10 east to both directions of CR 96, and only CR 96 west to US 10 north.

The next junction is a rebuilt junction with I-694 east and MN 51 south. Before being reconstructed, you would have to cross 2 lanes of mainline I-694 traffic to get from US 10 to Snelling. The new interchange has a new set of I-694 mainline lanes and the old lanes are a collector-distributor for US 10 and MN 51. It was on this collector-distributor that a minivan crossed from the right lane over to the left to re-enter I-694 east - cutting me off. Nice driving, MORON!!!

I follow MN 51 to the County Road E exit and then re-entered MN 51 north taking the new loop ramp to US 10 west toward Anoka. US 10 has 3 through lanes at this point, however drops to 2 lanes after the left exit to I-694 departs the ramp from CR 96 westbound joins at about the same point that the intersection for the Big Ten supper club departs to the left. Interesting design by MNDOT. Just wait until a drunken Big Tenner tries to get onto US 10. It is a matter of time. The trip concludes crossing I-35W and into Mounds View as US 10 joins I-35W for 2 miles to its new freeway alignment and the old US 10 is County Road 10. No confusion there, but maybe a different number is in order for the old 10 .....?
