Logo World Symbol Festival was an initiative by Paul Ibou and his wife Liliane Staal. They managed to bring the best designers of the world together during the Festival and other events that were organised multiple times as well. Paul Ibou founded the International Trademark Center (ITC) which acted as a movement and database that represented logo design and the profession of being a designer.

ITC was supported throughout the entire world with top designer from over 60 countries. Designers such as Saul Bass, Josef-Müller Brockmann, Ken Cato, Yusaka Kamekura, Paul Rand... became Ambassadors of ITC to gather forces and represent the logo and brand design industry during their time.
