Do you experience random burning pain in the backs of the legs—especially when you’re already tired or depleted?
Today’s Bone Marrow Washing Qigong (BMWQG) practice focuses on gently guiding Qi through the Kidney and Urinary Bladder (UB) channels, where the sciatic nerve pathway runs very close to the surface.
This practice begins seated, because when nerve pain flares, the body often needs support, quiet, and gentleness, not effort.
🧘♀️ DAY 30 PRACTICE INTENTION
Calm burning or nerve-type pain
Nourish Kidney & UB channels
Reduce irritation of the nervous system
Practice without exhausting already-depleted energy
🌱 SEATED QIGONG PRACTICE
(Practiced barefoot / in socks today to emphasize Kidney & UB channel awareness)
🔹 General Self-Patting
Awakens circulation gently
Avoids overstimulation when nerve pain is active
🔹 Tracing the Meridians
Guides Qi through the legs and back
Encourages smoother flow along the sciatic pathway
🔹 Row Boat Qigong
Forward & backward
Soft, relaxed pacing
Helps keep burning sensations become quieter and calmer
All movements today are slow and yielding, allowing the nervous system to settle rather than react.
✨ SEATED BONE MARROW WASHING QIGONG (BMWQG)
🔸 Section I
Part 1 — Prayer
Part 2 — Spreading the Arms
Part 3 — Stairway to Heaven
🔸 Skip Ahead To:
Part 10 — Hungry Tiger Catches Its Prey
Emphasis on hip hinge for safety
Core support instead of spinal strain
🥁 NEW INTRODUCED TODAY — Part 11: Beating the Heavenly Drum
Key practice points:
Gentle spinal flexion & extension
Palms press over the ears to create a soft “vacuum”
Slow turning and twisting of the torso
Arms lengthen overhead as the spine elongates
Hinge at the hips for safety and support
Make a large, continuous arc:
Forward
Down toward the ground
Sweep left
Arc overhead
Return to the right side
Repeat 3 times, (right towards the left, left towards the right), staying relaxed and unforced.
🔸 Closing
Part 12 — Prayer (same as Part 1)
Allow the nervous system to settle
🔁 STANDING PRACTICE
The entire sequence is then repeated standing, maintaining the same slow, calm pacing.
Standing is optional — listen to your body and rest whenever needed.
⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES
Practice slowly and within your comfort range
Avoid forcing stretches or deep positions
Maintain micro-weight shifting
Rest immediately if nerve pain increases
Stop if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, or fatigue
Bone Marrow Washing Qigong is a traditional, gentle practice. Please consult a healthcare professional before beginning new movement practices if you have injuries or medical conditions.
