It can be very powerful to realise that we only ever have one breath, which is the breath we are breathing right now. Tuning into that one breath can bring huge benefits into our life by connecting us with the present moment, connecting us with our bodies, and awakening us to the flow and magic of right now.
In this video I go through 3 simple breathing meditation techniques, which have been a total blessing in my life:
1. ‘I have arrived, I am home’ meditation by Thich Nhat Hanh
2. Zen breath counting meditation
3. Full cycle breathing - Noticing the full cycle of the breath
Remember that it is totally normal to get distracted into thoughts in the mind. The practice is to keep coming back to the breath over and over again. We are training our minds and hearts to come back to the present moment. Each time you realised your mind has strayed is a precious moment!
Its beautiful to tune into the sweetness of the breath, and to remember how wonderful it is to be alive and breathing in and out right now.
