The end of July and through August are our hottest months, but with a hurricane in the gulf, we have a couple of cloudy days with a chance for rain and "slightly" lower temps. Sometimes you just have to take advantage of what little breaks you can get so please join me as I take the fatbike for a 40 mile ride to Lake Whitney in north-central Texas for a nice overnight bikepacking trip. My route includes 20 miles of gravel roads and although a fatbike isn't considered a gravel bike, with lower tire pressure you sure get a smooth cushy cushy ride. It may be a little slower than a gravel-specific bike but for me it's not a competition, it's about pure relaxation and enjoyment. Thanks for watching and please leave any comments or questions.
