What is the difference to the classic WIM HOF breathing technique?
I already told you about the study a few years ago in the Netherlands, in which test subjects were given bacterial envelopes, which normally lead to flu symptoms. There was a comparison group, as well as the group that had used Wim Hof ​​breathing for 2 hours. The result was amazing. None of the "Wim Hof ​​Atmer" showed symptoms of illness compared to the comparison group.

However, the test group not only breathed with the classic Wim Hof ​​breathing technique, but also with a modified form that Wim Hof ​​calls "power breathing". It should ensure that the immune system is activated even more. Wim Hof ​​teaches this technique in his seminars and recommends it to experienced Wim Hof ​​users.

And this is how Wim Hof ​​Power Breathing is used:
Each power round consists of 60 breathing cycles. The rate of breathing increases during the rounds. After each 60 breaths, the air is held for 30 seconds with the lungs full(!). So there are no long breathing pauses with this technique. The fact that the short breathing pause takes place when the lung volume is full is a decisive difference to classic Wim Hof ​​breathing.

In this video you start with 3 rounds of classic WIM HOF breathing, followed by three rounds of power technique. In the power rounds, the rate of breathing increases after every 20 breaths.

To support the correct breathing speed, I have also added a suitable music beat to the visualization. It may not be to everyone's taste, but it helps me a lot to keep the focus on breathing.

60 breaths, which lead to controlled hyperventilation, may be unfamiliar and exhausting at first. Therefore I ask you to consult a doctor in case of health restrictions, fever or other symptoms before using this technique. Be careful with yourself.
