Описание: Dr. Andre Nye said everyone should have a primary care physician. “You truly have a medical home. You truly have a place you can go to for most of your medical needs, and if your doctor thinks that you need to be sent to a specialist, it's an appropriate referral.”

The annual doctor's visit focuses on preventative care. “Whether we need to check a man's PSA or do a woman's annual pap smear, or to make sure her DEXA scan is, it doesn't indicate that she has osteopenia, osteoporosis, making sure everybody's had their colon, colorectal cancer, screening a colonoscopy at an appropriate time,” said Dr. Nye.

Dr. Nye also educates about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. “There's no secret to longevity. It's exercise and diet.”

As a Family Medicine Physician, he’s trained to care for patients of all ages. “One of the factors that I find is most frustrating in medicine is that it can be so fragmented, and a family physician is able to glue the family together...Whether they're they've just been born or whether they're pregnant or whether they're maybe they're in hospice and they're preparing to leave this world. You have to be prepared at every stage.”
