Buchan Peterson Pipe Band, led by Pipe Major Peter Morrice, march off playing Dawning of the Day at Banchory. This was after their Grade 1 bands competition set during the 2024 North of Scotland Pipe Band Championship, held at Banchory in May 2024, and the following tunes were Music of the Spey and The Gardens of Skye.
There was a great turnout of Pipe Bands taking part in this championship, thanks to the efforts of the organisers Banchory District Initiative, in conjunction with the Royal Scottish Pipe band Association - (RSPBA) North of Scotland Branch.
