In this video I build a light sensor circuit using an op-amp to get a clean, stable signal without a microcontroller.
I show:
why a raw photoresistor signal is noisy and unstable
how an RC filter and op-amp buffer fix flickering and false reactions
smooth LED brightness control based on ambient light
Bonus:
Using the same analog signal, I demonstrate step-based brightness control with the LM3914 — hardware light levels without MCU, ADC or PWM.
This project is a practical introduction to analog signal conditioning and shows when an op-amp is actually needed.
