An early run on the new game. Definitely improvable (that bad landing near the end is a shame), but fairly happy with how this turned out. :)
Character selection notes:
-I think Dedede is optimal, but Rick and Rocky are close.
-I think Rocky loses too much time on the section that shrinks your vehicle.
-Rick (and every other lighter character) loses momentum faster when exiting the rails.
-Taranza weirdly loses speed quickly when exiting the rails, more-so than Susie and Magolor. Maybe he has stronger deceleration or something to compensate for his web gimmick? (I think he should be optimal on some other tracks though.)
Driving notes:
-On the right turn just before the first rail, hold A before hitting the wall. This prevents you from bouncing off.
-On the first rails, all of the options are similar. The inner rails should provide a better line, but maybe the speed is adjusted to compensate for that?
-The halfpipe section is very inconsistent. With A taps, it's possible to get more speed from them than I did here.
-After the second rail, there's a boost pad on the right. I'm not sure if it's faster or not.
-For the shrinking vehicle section: I intentionally face left on entry. Then right drift, followed by a bunch of left drifts.
-Make sure you're holding A for the drop, because gliding kills your speed. And hold A for a bit longer than normal because you don't charge in midair. Then snaking after that. This section is hard, lol.
-The last sections change quite frequently. Getting pacelocked is less of a concern than I expected, although you'll have to adapt for faster paces. (Also, the low path is slow. The rail begins much later there.)
