Blacked Out San Diego Traffic Lights During Power Outage (Montezuma Rd & Yerba Santa Dr)

This entire neighborhood was closed and the power was shut off by SDG&E because there was a massive brush fire down that hill. The San Diego Fire Department was there, the Chula Vista Fire Department was there, the Oceanside Fire Department was there, helicopters, EVERYONE was there trying to put out that fire. It was even on the news too and it caused a traffic nightmare at the worst time possible during rush hour when everyone was trying to get home. The cause of the fire was a homeless person that intentionally set it off which was unfortunate because so many acres were burned and the fire came dangerously close to houses.

While this happened, a shooting occurred at the SDSU transit center close by which caused some police cars to leave this area and rush over there and the scary thing about that was, I just came from there to head over here. So the SDSU campus was on lockdown, the SDSU transit center was on lockdown, and a large portion of the college neighborhood was closed because of the fire. The fire was eventually put out though and what was left was a bunch of black on the hills down there. The palm trees survived though.

TRAFFIC LIGHTS INFO:
All 10 red lights and 11 green lights are LED
The yellow lights have 2 LED's and 8 incandescents
The pedestrian signals have 1 LED countdown, 2 LED Hand/Man and 1 neon hand/man
These signals are owned by the city of San Diego
